Hurricane aftermath

btw, everyone is ok at home. my parents house was hit by the storm pretty hard just like everyone else down there. no one i know was injured, though which is an answer to prayer. mom said that the house was moaning and creaking during the worst part (i think the worst lasted about 5 hours). they were pretty scared. i don't think they'll ever try to ride out a big one again.

i'm headed down there tomorrow with a chainsaw and some gas cans to help clean up. they don't have any trees endangering the house but i think we'll be able to get them all cleaned up on saturday. aunt joan is coming from TN and bringing a generator with her so that we'll have 2 generators for my parent's house and my grannie's. this means we'll be able to keep the freezers plugged in and still run fans at both houses. i'm sure it'll be a hot day anyway, though.
