Hooray for HD
I haven't posted here is a while. Wedding plans are moving at a considerable pace. There are decisions every day.
This weekend we watched our first Blu-Ray movie. I was pretty impressed. The quality is exceptional. This is definetly the way to watch movies at home. I really can't tell a difference between 720p from the satellite receiver and 1080p from the PS3, though, but the picture looks amazing.
Also, I'm impressed that NetFlix is allowing me to rent Blu-Ray movies for the same price as regular DVD's. I hope they do not raise thier prices. If they keep prices the same, NetFlix is the best way I've found to get Blu-Ray movies. Blockbuster and Movie Gallery don't yet have many movies in the stores and I don't wany to buy a $30 disc just to watch a movie once. Netflix only has a few hundred movies in the Blu-Ray format, but that will get better all the time.
