- The Weird Week in Review
This week, the weird news appears to point toward an uprising of animals against people. Go figure. Dog Eats Crime Weapon Antonio Vasquez Jr. was arrested in Fresno, California in a bizarre burglary. He is accused of entering a home and rubbing spices on one resident, and using a sausage to hit another in the head. The spices and sausage belonged to the residents. The suspect discarded the sausage, which was eaten by a dog. Lt. Ian Burrimond sais it was one of the strangest cases he’s seen. “That’s…

- Auburn-MSU Postgame
Some quotes first: • Coach Sylvester Croom on the fourth-and-15 play: “I wasn’t sure we’d have a chance to get the ball back. From their field position, we punt the ball, there’s a strong chance the ball could go in the end zone. I figured hey, that point in the game, I was very concerned that we might not have a chance to get the ball back. Even if we didn’t get it, I felt like our defense could hold them right there.” • QB Wesley Carroll : “They had great effort all game, and I think… - Mississippi State - Georgia Tech On Raycom TV; Noon Kick-off

The game will kick-off at Noon (11am Central) at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta. This will only be the third meeting between MSU and Tech and the first since 1929. Since this is an ACC broadcast, I am not sure what that means for television coverage for Bulldog fans. A quick glance at the Raycom affiliate list for ACC games shows no stations in Mississippi or…

Dependence on Foreign Oil and Other American Economic Myths
David Saied, former Securities and Exchange Commissioner for Panama, wrote an interesting article for the libertarian think tank Ludwig von Mises Institute about America’s economic myths. For example: Myth # 1: "Dependence on Foreign Oil" This myth basically suggests that the problem with oil prices is due to America’s "dependence" on foreign oil. One of the worst economic myths, it plays on economic nationalism and on xenophobic feelings that are sometimes pervasive in the United…- MSU-LSU Game Time Set For 6:30 p.m.; Will Be Televised By ESPN2

Antarctic Vehicles
You can’t just import your normal sedan to get around in Antarctica. Special conditions call for special vehicles. Pro Vehicles has a roundup of the Top 13 Polar Super Vehicles from Antarctic. This picture shows a standard truck refitted with belts for covering snowy terrain. Vehicles made especially for the Antarctic look even weirder.
