Odds and Stabbing Punters

I find it strange that, even though Mississippi State has not scored a SINGLE point this year, we are favored by 10.5 over Tulane this weekend. I guess the odd-makers have more confidence in our team than most of our fans right now.

In other news...have you heard about the backup punter that stabbed the starter so that he could win the punting job at a Div I-AA college? (story [USAToday.com]) I think competition is good for people and makes us strive to be better, but clearly it drives some people to craziness.
