Greg Boyd on Violence

Since reading Gred Boyd's book "Myth of a Christian Nation," I've been keeping up with his blog. Yesterday, he wrote a post entitled Was the Christian Security Guard a Hero? In it he brings up some very challenging ideas for me, mainly the idea that justified violence is not a part of Jesus' teaching. He points to many verses that talk about loving your enemies and to not return violence with violence. Unfortunately, this goes against almost all conventional wisdom in our world.
