Mississippi State fan quits his job to build and sell cowbells full-time

From time to time, my e-mail inbox contains someone thinking they know exactly what story I should write. Often, we’ve either already written it or are going to. Or the idea isn’t good. This wasn’t the case late last month when loyal reader Gene Redden of Chattanooga sent me an idea. His buddy, Eric Vlietstra, was quitting his job as an industrial engineer to build and sell cowbells full-time.

Consider me interested.

In today’s Clarion-Ledger, we profile that upstart business.

CLICK HERE to read the story. (For our regular print readers, I particularly bring your attention to it because the story ran in the business section, not sports.)
